Not all communication is created equal. As much as radio is a fantastic medium, adding seeing to hearing sure increases meaning and understanding. Vision trumps all other senses. We can start explaining the functions of our brain’s neocortex – but in essence – visual communication helps us solve problems that are hard to understand and we learn and remember best through pictures, not through written or spoken words. Communicating and creating presentations should start with using all available visual thinking – before we even type a single word on our keyboards.
If you make sure your presentation or communication contains relevant visual aspects, it is more likely that your audience, coworkers or friends will remember what you said – and learn something. And by visual elements – we don’t mean bullets.
