Using Lego to visualize math

My Daughter is having problem with math in school – for some reason it seems as if the teacher is more focused on how fast they solve basic addition rather than if they got the concept of what they are doing. So I went to the Lego Store and picked up Lego pieces (we are major Lego fans in the family) and built our own “math blocks” to visualize addition and that different numbers add up to the same sum. Even I didn’t have to bring out the calculator to check the answers…
